Senior Finance Specialist
Worked on Projects based in the controlling and planning department. A special department which began with the aim of providing Financial strategy, Planning and controlling to various divisions of the company across the globe. My role was revolving around supporting the Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Australian team with both monthly reports and Ad-Hoc queries.
Projects
Management Information System (MIS) Reporting

Performed month end closing activities and MIS reports for the ZC business revolving around IT, HR, Real estate, Head count allocations. These reports were critical for internal ERP system
Automation Via SAP
Worked on projects to automate reporting via integration of ERP software and standard reporting tools. Aim to minimize workload by eliminating recurring tasks in the SAP.
Budgeting and analysis
Worked on creating budgets for various departments in Singapore, Thailand and Australia. Budgeting included regular analysis of variances in actual vs budgeted and evaluation of the same
Internal ERP (ABACUS)
Helped creating dynamic and hyper customized reports as per the query of financial managers. Understanding key parameters for data extractions and develop skills to analyze critical success factors
Knowledge Transfer
Important role to help the department in global knowledge transfer. Successfully completed in Key KT in Singapore, Thailand and Australia. The Knowledge included specialization in the ZC department ABB.
Ad-hoc queries from management
Solving Ad-Hoc queries from CFO and strategic managers which included involvement in ERP systems as well as understanding of the finance structure of the company on SAP.
Post Merger transactions
ABB had one of it main divisions acquired by HITACHI ( Power Grids). Tasks involved included the smooth transition of the acquisition in system and employee knowledge transfer.
Cost allocation
Allocation of the costs to various departments and costs centers based on the no of employees , Resources used and area utilized by each division
Cost center and profit center responsibility
Take complete responsibility of cost and profit centers to ensure right allocation of funds and expenses. Focus on maintaining books in the everchanging internal structure of the company.
Overall experience and Learing
Thorough understanding of the application of financial tools such as strategy creation , implementation and review. Learnt the importance of Budgeting, cost analysis and variance evaluation. Strong development of interpersonal skills of working with colleagues Globally, and working under pressure in tight deadline schedules
